White-throated Bee-eater
Merops albicollis

First reported on 28 April 2004 from near Pearly Beach in the Western Cape. The bird remained for one more day and was photographed and then disappeared a mere 45 minutes before the first group of twitchers arrived NEVER to be seen again.
