ZEST for BIRDS runs pelagic trips on a regular basis throughout the year to see the complete
cross-section of birds available in these waters. Ad hoc trips can be arranged
as well and the price of these trips would be determined on application, based
on numbers of participants and the vessel used.
All ZEST for BIRDS trips are accompanied by guides that have been hand picked
and are some of the top birders in the country, with a wealth of knowledge of
all birds in Southern Africa, both pelagic and terrestrial. Their knowledge also
extends into other fields and they do their utmost to point out any marine
wildlife seen on these trips, including the many cetaceans available around our
shores.
The boat is normally booked for the entire weekend, so that, in the case of
inclement weather on the Saturday, the trip is able to go out on the Sunday. Ad
hoc trips can be organised either during the week, or over weekends, based on
