Tristan Albatross
Diomedea dabbenena

Came ashore alive, but in a weakened state, at Cape Cross in Namibia on 23 January 2009, but subsequently succumbed at a rehabilitation facility. This is the first confirmed record of this species alive in Southern Africa!

Photographed by Mark Boorman.
