Little Penguin
Eudyptula minor

First reported on 14 April 2005 ashore on Ichaboe Island off the coast of Namibia. Although this surely constitutes the first record for Africa of this species, there must be some doubt that it reached our shores under its own power, considering it being the smallest penguin and that it is restricted to the Australasian region on the other side of the world!!
