Malachite Kingfisher Alcedo cristata
 
This Malachite Kingfisher was photographed at the Lake Panic bird hide near Skukuza in the Kruger National Park in January 1997. It is fully leucistic, normally showing bright blue plumage on the head and back, a orange belly and a bright red bill and legs.
